After detection by the built-in motion detector, the Garden Guard 580 scares away all unwanted animals such as birds, rodents, dogs and vermin such as mice and rats.
The motion detector works up to 10 meters and scares away within this radius.
Choice settings (easy to operate with a button on the outside):
1) Ultrasonic sound
2) Ultrasonic sound with light flashes
3) Ultrasonic sound with light flashes and audio alarm sound.
The solar panel keeps the 3 rechargeable AA batteries present at a sufficient level, if placed in sunlight. Batteries can also be charged in an external charger (not included).
Ultrasonic sound frequency: 15 – 27 kHz. Volume up to 100 dB.
Housing is designed for years of outdoor use, however, it is recommended that the unit be placed indoors in poor weather conditions.
